Spotlight: Master of Public Informatics
The data revolution has arrived in the public sector. Become a leader in this new field.
Public informatics is an interdisciplinary field that uses scientific methods, processes, algorithms and systems to extract knowledge or insights from data in various forms.
The Bloustein School’s Master of Public Informatics program provides the vehicle for educating professional student cohorts in the competencies needed in public informatics: statistics, programming, data management, data analytics, visualization, spatial analysis, applications and the integration of these skills.
Graduates of the program will bring a critical voice and a deep understanding of context to an emerging field.

“My experiences as a first-generation Filipino-American and my time spent working for the Free Library of Philadelphia's Youth Services and Program Division sparked an awareness of and interest in politics and public policy. Those events introduced me to systematic disparities at a very young age, so I’ve always been interested in ways to create a world where so many people don’t suffer from socioeconomic inequality. I am also passionate about community-centered climate adaptation, and I look forward to helping communities prepare for and remain resilient against current flooding and future sea level rise.”

Spotlight: Doctor of Health Administration
The Bloustein School now offers a Doctor of Health Administration degree
This doctoral program expands opportunities for mid-level and senior executives through the training and skills required to advance as leaders in health care administration. The 66-credit program will include 15 credits in leadership courses, 15 credits in applied research and 21 credits in an applied research project. Qualified applicants must have five years of relevant work experience and master’s-level training.
