Program Highlight:  Accelerated Bachelor / Master of Public Health Degrees

The Master of Public Health degree provides students with a clear understanding of the role public health plays in society. It also provides students with sufficient knowledge of the theory and terminology used by diverse public health disciplines to allow effective participation in interdisciplinary public health efforts and with specialized skills in at least one public health discipline.

The Rutgers School of Public Health offers highly-qualified undergraduate students the opportunity to begin graduate study during their undergraduate years, thereby accelerating the path to an MPH degree.

Discover: Arts in Health Research Lab

Building on a growing field of arts in health across the country and around the world, Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers School of Public Health, and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center have joined in an interdisciplinary partnership to launch the Arts in Health Research Lab.

The goals of the Arts in Health Research Lab are to perform research that benefits populations across New Jersey, innovate new research strategies including arts-based research methods and art-as-data collection, and establish a research plan to assess the health impact of NJPAC and Mason Gross arts experiences and programs.

Department Spotlight: Health Behavior, Society and Policy

The Department of Health Behavior, Society and Policy focuses on social and behavioral health, health systems and policy, population aging, and mental health through its research, educational programs, and community engagement activities.

The department prepares students with the skills necessary to address pressing public health concerns through its various graduate degree programs and post-baccalaureate certificate offerings.
