Join Jonathan Holloway, Rutgers University president and university professor, for a discussion about his research on the history of African Americans and what it means to be an American, a citizen, and a human being. This event is being held in conjunction with Black History Month and the publication of President Holloway’s new book, The Cause of Freedom: A Concise History of African Americans.

The discussion will be moderated by Michelle Stephens, founding executive director of the Institute for the Study of Global Racial Justice at Rutgers and a professor of English and Latino and Caribbean studies at the School of Arts and Sciences, Rutgers University–New Brunswick.

This event is hosted by the Rutgers University Alumni Association and the Rutgers African-American Alumni Alliance.
