Exclusive Film Screening: "In A Different Key"
From 5pm to 8pm on Monday, October 17, The Yard on College Ave. will host an exclusive private screening on the jumbotron of the award-winning documentary, "In a Different Key," by Caren Zucker and John Donvan.
This event will aim to raise awareness about neurodiversity. The film is a yet-to-be-released documentary chronicling the history of autism told from the perspectives of individuals and families including Donald Triplett, the first person to ever be diagnosed with autism in 1941.
The filmmakers will be taking the stage to discuss the important messages of the film that can be directed towards opportunities and challenges within our own community. Joining the filmmakers will be with Christopher Manente, Ph.D., BCBA; Executive Director of the Rutgers Center for Adult Autism Services and Clinical Associate Professor at Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology and Amy Gravino, Relationship Coach with the Rutgers Center for Adult Autism Services.
Admission is free. Up to 100 attendees that RSVP and complete a pre/post survey related to neurodiversity at Rutgers will be given a meal voucher for $20 to be used for dinner after the screening at the restaurants located at The Yard.
Bring a blanket or lawn chair.
