A Love Letter to Count Basie

The Institute of Jazz Studies, the world’s foremost jazz research center, located on the campus of Rutgers University–Newark, received a major federal grant to conserve the recently acquired Count Basie collection.
Its first public showing will be at The T. Thomas Fortune Cultural Center in Red Bank, New Jersey, with the long-awaited exhibit, A Love Letter to Count Basie: From The Great Migration to The Harlem Renaissance.
The exhibit opens Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020.
