MLK Celebration: Poor People’s Campaign
Observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day with Mason Gross School of the Arts at Nicholas Music Center on January 21!
The celebration will be centered around the 1968 march planned by the Rev. Dr. King as he sought to gain economic justice for poor people in the United States.
The program will also feature a documentary about the campaign by film student Muhammed Qadar; performances by the Rutgers University Jazz Ensemble and Kirkpatrick Choir with students from the Cicely L. Tyson Community School of Performing and Fine Arts; a digital collage; and more.
