Reach Symposium

The purpose of REACH's Poverty, Equity and the Influencing Factors Symposium is to engage the entire Rutgers community, including partners, leaders, members, and external stakeholders such as funders and policy makers, in a candid conversation. This day will also be a showcase of the work of REACH through collaborative learning tables and grantees.

In addition to Dr. Desmond's keynote presentation, sessions throughout the day will feature panel discussions and presentations by Rutgers faculty and researchers, community leaders, and others that center around the key social determinants upon which REACH's work is focused – education, employment, food access and food security, housing and population health – and their interconnectedness with racial justice, poverty and health equity.

*Free registration opens in January. This event will be hosted on Cook Campus and livestreamed to in-person events on the Newark and Camden campuses.
