Rutgers Symphony Orchestra
The four symphonies of Johannes Brahms are cornerstones of the symphonic literature. Join us as the Rutgers Symphony Orchestra tackles his Fourth Symphony in E minor, closing as it does with orchestral chaconne. Opening the concert is Icelandic composer Anna Thorvaldsdottir's Metacosmos, a truly remarkable sonic experience. Completing this program of contrasts is Rutgers Concerto competition winner, saxophonist Jarod Apple with the Villa-Lobos Fantasia. Maestro Kynan Johns conducts.
