Dream Team in the Making
Building on the success of last season, a foursome of Top 55 recruits will give C. Vivian Stringer, the head coach of the Scarlet Knights women’s basketball team, plenty of options during the 2020–21 season thus far. First-year guard Diamond Johnson was the No. 6 overall recruit in the nation; first-year center Sakima Walker and first-year forward Chyna Cornwell were high school players of the year in their states; and first-year guard Elizabeth Martino had once been a No. 25 prospect. The new class of recruits, seven in total, was ranked as high as No. 1 in the Big Ten and No. 5 in the nation. With a record of 22-9 (11-7 Big Ten) last year, the Scarlet Knights are a good bet to exceed preseason predictions.
