Rutgers Law School Gets Big Gift
Rutgers University–Camden received an anonymous gift of $3.5 million to create the Rayman L. Solomon Scholars program at Rutgers Law School in Camden, designed for an elite cohort of academically accomplished students committed to careers in public service. An anonymous faculty member made the gift—the largest ever for Rutgers–Camden—in honor of the law school’s former dean Rayman L. Solomon, who served from 1998 to 2014 and remains on the faculty as a University Professor of Law. “The vision set forth by our donor will allow Rutgers to continue to prepare the very best students from New Jersey, the nation, and the world to become the leaders that we need to guide the future,” says Kimberly Mutcherson, co-dean of Rutgers Law School.
