Rutgers Is One of the Nation’s Best Colleges 

Rutgers University–New Brunswick is one of the nation’s top 20 public universities, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2022–2023 Best Colleges rankings. Named #19 among Top Public Schools, Rutgers–New Brunswick climbed from its #23 position last year. Rutgers University–Newark (#53) and Rutgers University–Camden (#61) also improved among top public universities. Additionally, Rutgers advanced in the category Best National Universities: Rutgers–New Brunswick  ranked #55, up from #63 last year; Rutgers–Newark #115, improving from #127; and Rutgers–Camden #127, up from #148. “It is gratifying and affirming to see rising rankings that are an outgrowth of our work across the university,” says Rutgers president Jonathan Holloway.
