Rutgers—Camden was bustling with activity on Saturday, April 9, when more than 800 admitted students and their families visited the campus during an Admitted Student Day Open House sponsored by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
This event set a new record for the number of interested students attending an on-campus open house. As significantly, Admitted Student Day was a clear indicator of the continuously growing demand for the Rutgers–Camden undergraduate experience.
At every turn, our guests were greeted by friendly and helpful Rutgers–Camden staff, faculty, students, and graduates, who showcased our campus quite smartly. The admissions team assembled well-considered workshops and activities for our visitors, who learned first-hand about Rutgers–Camden's excellent academic, extracurricular, athletic, and administrative programs.
The students and their families toured our campus, as well as our waterfront neighborhood, and gained a richer appreciation of the many opportunities offered by Rutgers–Camden and our host city. The enthusiasm for Rutgers–Camden was palpable from both current and future members of our campus community. I have no doubt that Saturday’s event helped many families make the decision to choose Rutgers–Camden in order to access the world-class Rutgers experience in a personalized manner.
I would like to thank every member of our community who worked to make Admitted Student Day successful. Some of you gave up your Saturday to greet our guests; others worked behind the scenes beforehand to plan event schedules and make sure that the grounds and facilities looked their very best. I especially would like to commend the admissions team for their leadership in producing this landmark day.
Your dedication, creativity, and enthusiasm are distinguishing characteristics of our campus. Thank you again for your commitment to Rutgers–Camden.
