BACKGROUND: Wednesday is the third day of Rutgers fourth annual New Faculty Traveling Seminar. The seminar, which lasts five days, exposes new faculty members to the people, issues and opportunities of New Jersey. On this day, after driving through Atlantic City and visiting a cranberry bog in Chatsworth, the seminar visits with students and faculty at Lakewood High School and hears a panel discussion on the role of the arts in fostering vibrant communities.
