Members of the Rutgers community are invited to participate in a series of in-person and virtual listening sessions that begin Tuesday, Dec. 3, as the university presidential search moves forward.

Town halls administered by the search firm WittKieffer will take place across Rutgers in December to provide community members the opportunity to offer input on the qualities and characteristics important in the next president of Rutgers University. 

“The Board of Governors and the Presidential Search Committee are committed to facilitating a collaborative, open process that welcomes, values, and considers input from across the Rutgers community. We want everyone to have an opportunity to be heard,” Amy L. Towers, chair of the Rutgers Board of Governors, said when the search committee members and town halls were announced. Towers is co-chair of the Presidential Search Committee with Alberto Cuitiño, dean of the School of Engineering,

In-person town halls are scheduled as follows:

  • New Brunswick: Tuesday, Dec. 3, 3:30 - 5 p.m. Richard Weeks Hall of Engineering, Room 102
  • Newark: Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2 - 3:30 p.m. Paul Robeson Student Center, Essex Room
  • Camden: Thursday, Dec. 5, 12:45 - 2:15 p.m. Camden Campus Center, Multi-purpose Room

Members of the university community are also encouraged to visit the Presidential Search website for more information on the town halls and parking for the in-person sessions.

Visitors to the website also will find information on the search process, updates, and be able to complete a campus feedback survey. Community members can also provide input to the Presidential Search Committee via email.
