Rutgers Army, Air Force ROTC Commissionings on Tap

WHAT: Rutgers Army ROTC 2015 officer commissioning ceremony sponsored by the Department of Military Science, Scarlet Knight Battalion. Rutgers Air Force ROTC Detachment 485 Ravens 2015 commissioning ceremony.

WHO: 27 Army cadets and nine Air Force cadets will be commissioned as second lieutenants in their respective service branches at ROTC commissioning ceremonies. Keynote Speaker (Army): Retired Brig. Gen. Bruce B. Bingham, U.S. Army; executive director, Capstone Advisory Group LLC, New York. Rutgers College, Class of 1968, Distinguished Military Graduate. Speaker (Air Force): Retired Lt. Col. Matthew W. Lacy, senior aerospace science instructor, Camden County Technical School, Sicklerville, N.J.; former commander and professor of aerospace studies of AFROTC Detachment 485, Rutgers-New Brunswick.

WHEN/WHERE: The Army ROTC ceremony is 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, at Kirkpatrick Chapel, 81 Somerset St., New Brunswick. Reception to follow on the Old Queens Lawn. The Air Force ceremony is noon, Thursday, May 21, at the Cook Student Center multipurpose room, 59 Biel Road, New Brunswick. A reception will precede the ceremony at 11 a.m.
